Why do TV news people say things like:
“Next up….Hillary Clinton….In her own words”.
What other words would she have?
Do people regularly talk using other people’s words and I just haven’t picked up on that?

People use other people’s words all the time. The thing I’m more concerned about is when they are introduced like that and I end up wondering if it is in their own words. With politicians, it’s probably not. They were probably seriously prepped before they went on the air 🙂
From what I have heard politically from many, many, many, many (did I mention many?) people lately about what they think of this new administration, people no longer use their own words, but depend on CNN, Fox News and Rush Limbaugh to form their opinions and direction. yowsa. Don’t get me started!!
